Ever since dropping the video for That’s Not Me, Skepta’s been surfing the nostalgia wave comfortably in these skreets and I’ve been rocking with it heavy.
And it’s not only been sonic nostalgia either. Visuals have been reduced to pure, gritty grime roots alongside tracksuits and 110’s (that’s the Air Max 95’s if you’re not with the #culture). So naturally, man’s only gone and taken it further with a No Fear Collab ain’t he?
Listen, growing up I was a big fan of those menacing eyes depicted on hats, hoodies and side bags. Granted it wasn’t just No Fear doing that at the time (shout out Streetz Iz Watchin and Lake Elsinore Storm), but No Fear was the one that hit home. Their stuff was extremely affordable for us and readily available at Sports Direct when it was called Sports World.
So when I found out that Skeppy did the madting, I had to let you know immediately. Look at the strength:
Now, I’m not really a fan of purple but I’m a bike guy so the motocross ensemble gets a YES from me. Goggles and all. I don’t believe in shorts or polo shirts so I’m skipping those. The black graphic tee is a welcomed staple and you can never go wrong with a pair of sliders. The No Fear watergun is what we needed this summer. We’re shelling down Carnival with them tings there.
Overall, I fuck with this. You should definitely cop some bits before they sell out. I definitely will. Why? It’s extremely fucking affordable, that’s why. +10 for Skeppy and No Fear.
